There I was, minding my own business, building my sand castles on the beach when the ocean swelled up suddenly around me.  Luckily, I had examined the contours of the beach prior to starting my own excavations and found a high-spot to set up shop.  My sand castles came within inches of being swept away (and me along with them) but all was safe and sound.  For me, though, this little incident ended my interest in building sand castles for the rest of the day.
